The journey of Dimple Singh from new starter to trusted carer, mentor and role model.

Ten years ago, Dimple began her journey with We Care as a quiet but determined new starter. She spoke little English, did not drive and came from a background where women working outside the home was often discouraged.

Today, she is one of our most skilled and trusted carers. She completed her Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care, became fluent in English, learnt to drive and has mentored over 30 new care workers.

From a Homeless Shelter to a Place to Call Home

How We Care helped rebuild one man's life after a devastating stabbing.

After more than a year in hospital following life-changing injuries, one Manchester resident was discharged into temporary homeless accommodation with reduced mobility, loss of confidence and long-term housing uncertainty.

Through daily rehabilitation, mobility support, emotional wellbeing support and close partnership with Manchester City Council Housing, he secured a permanent council tenancy in January 2026.
