Domiciliary care, sometimes called home care, is support provided in your own home to help you live safely and independently. This can include personal care, medication support, meal preparation, companionship, or help with everyday household tasks.
WeCare is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC monitors our service to make sure we meet the highest standards of safety, effectiveness, and compassion. You can view our latest CQC inspection report on the CQC website.
All carers go through a strict recruitment process, which includes:
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
  • Two professional references
  • Full employment history checks
Once recruited, carers complete a full induction and shadowing programme. They also receive ongoing training and supervision in line with CQC standards and Skills for Care guidance.
Yes. Every client has a personalised care plan created with them (and their family, if they wish). Your preferences, routines, cultural or religious needs, and health requirements are always respected. Care plans are reviewed regularly and adjusted whenever your needs change.
Carers are trained in the safe handling of medication. They follow your personalised support plan and record all medication provided, either in logbooks or through our secure electronic monitoring system. Regular audits are carried out to ensure safety.
We understand that needs change. You can contact our office to increase, reduce, or cancel your care package. We will explain our notice periods clearly in your service agreement and work with you to ensure a smooth transition.
Your feedback is important to us. If you ever have concerns, you can contact our office team or the manager directly. We have a clear complaints policy, and we aim to respond quickly, fairly, and openly. If you are not satisfied, you can also raise concerns with the CQC.
WeCare ensures quality through:
  • Regular spot checks and supervisory visits
  • Ongoing training and performance reviews
  • Electronic Call Monitoring (ECM) to confirm visits are on time
  • Regular quality calls to clients and families
Care can be funded in different ways:
  • Private (self-funded) care
  • Local Authority funding through a Personal Budget or Direct Payment
  • NHS Continuing Healthcare (for certain eligible needs)
We can guide you through the process and provide information about support available in Manchester, Trafford, and Stockport.
We take confidentiality seriously. All personal information is stored securely and only shared with professionals directly involved in your care. WeCare complies fully with GDPR and UK data protection laws.

Local roots, strong community links – WeCare has proudly supported the South Manchester community for over a decade, working closely with local mosques, churches, and community groups.

A diverse workforce – Over 90% of our carers come from diverse backgrounds, meaning we can deliver culturally sensitive care that respects your language, traditions, and faith.

Investing in carers – We pay the Real Living Wage, provide literacy and skills training, and even run annual programmes such as Umrah and Hajj support or alternative European holidays for staff. Happier carers mean better care.

Breaking barriers – We have empowered over 100 women from the local Muslim community to join the workforce, helping them achieve economic independence and become role models.

Community projects – From tackling loneliness through free transport to faith and social groups, to supporting local art initiatives like “Bringing Colour Back to Chorlton”, we go beyond care to enrich lives.

Compassion and trust – Families know us for our consistency, reliability, and genuine care. Many of our clients describe carers as “part of the family”.
